World Book Day!  What a fabulous couple of weeks we have had again.  For world book day and Science day, we took part in live lessons which was very fun. As part of the live lesson for world book day we all read together. We then discussed as a class what our books were about.  In Art, we have been looking at tints and shades. The children chose a colour and then added white to it to create a tint. They then repeated this but instead of adding white, they added black to create a shade.

Bread Making Fun! At the end of last term, we were all given the opportunity to make and bake our very own bread as part of our DT topic. After we had made it, we evaluated it and carefully considered how we could improve it. All children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this lesson as you can see with the pictures. I must say, I was very impressed with everyone’s end bakes and I’m sure they enjoyed eating it too 😊

Another fabulous couple of weeks!   We thoroughly enjoyed our faith walk trip to Derby at the beginning of the week. As part of the faith trail with the Open Centre, we were lucky enough to visit a Hindu Temple, a Mosque and a Sikh Gurdwara. All children behaved well and asked some brilliant questions. It was a fabulous experience for us all.  Oracy Champion of the week. As part of our oracy journey, we will be having a weekly oracy champion of the week. Being oracy champion of the week means that they have demonstrated that they are respectful listeners, have used various sentences stems when talking out loud as part of a class discussion or used the sentence stems in their work. I can’t wait to see who this week’s champion will be 😊

Welcome back everyone!                                                                 TTRS Champions!  We have had an incredibly busy week with lots of fun learning activities already completed. In writing we have been looking at the skills we use when we write, this includes making sure we always present our work with our best handwriting, that we use the correct punctuation, and we proofread our writing to make sure it makes sense. We particularly enjoyed writing with our non-dominant hand, writing with our eyes closed and writing without holding our pens correctly – this demonstrated the importance of us always writing in our best handwriting so that our writing is legible.   In math we have been multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100. By using counters and place value charts in our lessons, we were ab...
